How To Really Know Someone Questions Vol 4

7 months. 7 long months of being away from writing and updating my space.

So much has happened these past months. – the biggest news of all – my Bes and I got MARRIED!  It’s the ‘most awesomest’ day of our lives! It’s true that you  can never get rid of that wedding high, still got that wedding fever all over 🙂

Just a quick post to get me going and you’ll see more of me this coming days, that’s for sure.

22. Do you trust anyone to protect you? Who, and why?

Yes I do, my husband of course.  He’s always been there for me when I need him and our love for each other transcend all boundaries.

23. What is your favorite kind of flower and why?

Blue Rose. They say that a blue rose symbolizes the unattainable..the impossible.

24. What do you think about the death penalty?

I don’t know. I guess I just pray for world peace – No killings. No pain. No crimes.  – ain’t that the dream of all?

25. What is your ideal day?

Slow Sunday, every day. If only.  Oh and beach day… Luuurrvvee those beach days.

26. How thin/fat, small/large, tall/short are you compared to your peers?

Tall and thin.

27. If you were a book, what would it be?

Geez.. This one’s hard! I guess that would be Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami..

“When I was fifteen, all I wanted was to go off to some other world, a place beyond anybody’s reach. A place beyond the flow of time.”
– But there’s no place like that in this world.
– Exactly. Which is why I’m living here, in this world where things are continually damaged, where the heart is fickle, where time flows past without a break.”
Haruki Murakami, Kafka on the Shore

There it goes! Please do look forward to my next batch. For the list of all the questions, visit this tumblr site. Thank you also to this blog series from Corinth.

What am I doing with (my) Life? #HugotFriday

“Gusto ko ng MCDO- Yung Large Fries and Large Coke, yung pula na coke ha kasi gusto ko tumaba.” – my cravings after waking up at noon time to a sweltering Friday. FYI. Walang pasok. YEHEY!

Well, at least I know what I want at this time cause honestly, I don’t know what I want in life. Who does so anyway?

Let’s go back in time, shall we?

You were born, you crawled, you walked your first steps, you spoke your first words, you cried for toys, you argued with your siblings all the time, you studied, you aimed for high grades, you failed sometimes, you stood up then fell again then stood up again.

You played outside from 3PM (yes, i was born in the 80’s and lived my  childhood in the 90’s when ‘piko’, ‘langit-lupa’ and ‘tagu-taguan’ etc. were all the rage) until you were called inside for dinner. You had your first crush, your second crush and so on, puberty kicked in (hasel this!), you listened to casette tapes and memorized lyrics of all the songs thanks to your sisters’ good taste in music and even learned to talkback to your mother.

You played that ‘mysterious girl’ role in high school, had your first kiss, felt ugly, met your first boyfriend, watched animes and OVAs until sun up,  smoked and experienced the worst hangover. You got in and graduated from a ‘prestigious’ university with average grades, where you met your sorority sisters who you can relate to in all kinds of different levels, had another boyfriend while in college, then another, then made a biggest mistake in a relationship and then another, made love or had sex whichever, whereever.

You can’t wait to finish school to brave the world but the world failed you from one job to the next, or rather, you failed yourself from one job to the next by choosing all the wrong decisions and not being passionate about want you want to do for a living. Remember those zit popping, showing off the good and the bad atitude, accepting and denying heartbreaks, developed morals, and sweaty armpits in betweens. Well, ain’t that too familiar?

Let’s talk about life, shall we?

I guess, what I really want to answer is “What am I doing with my life?”. The most hunting question all adulting human beings are faced with every day, especially at tough times in your 20’s. There’s the good with all the bad – but all in all – it’s not that ridiculously bad. Why?

Cause I embraced independence at a very young age and I learned a lot about myself because of it.

Cause I am coming home to my nerdy-sexy fiancé who would move mountains for me and I for him, that’s a fact.

Got a family who’s got my back – we’re not perfect but knowing they’re just around the corner to come home to is quite comforting.

I know who to cut off from my life, who to tolerate and who to keep. Cause honestly,  as much as you want to cut-off all the people who hold you down, you just simply can’t.

I know when to complain and when not to.

I know that some people find me too ugly therefore they do not want anything to do with me. It’s actually a good thing cause I don’t need to pretend to like them back.

I know whom to give respect to and who doesn’t deserve one.

I travel – and I will travel this country and the world.

My work sucks most of the time but I am sucking it up and dealing with it.

I am taking care of cats and cats are the best living thing ever created on earth. All felines for that case.

I am getting married soon, will start a family and if God permits, will bring to this world a very happy and loved child who will  eventually also someday ask – what am i doing with (my) life?

So to answer the question? I honestly don’t have it all figured out, and I guess I never will. Life is one hell of a fucking amazing ride so I’m just going with it with gratitude in my heart and a smile on my face. No plans, no aim. Just living it. Cause after all, life is not about questions – it’s about living – one step at a time.

Mcdo delivery is here guys, so allow me to stuff myself with carbs + sugar we call junk food. Cause hey, life is about living right? eating dirty is still one my favorite guilty pleasure.

Sending you cat hugs from across the web. Till next time!

All the Best : 2015

Been experimenting on GoPro Studio and this is the best video I came up with in a span of 2 hours work. The video sums up the “feels” and ride I had the year of 2015 – the cliff diving, the engagement, the twins, the love and the sea. Bear with me cause I do the “peace” sign A LOT! haha!

coldtruethoughts is back people!!

It’s kinda late to say this, but 2016 : We’re so ready for you!  🙂

A love letter to my significant other.

rsz_ov26aomumiThere are many things in my past I am not proud of, oh there’s just too many! I’ve cursed, I’ve lied, I’ve even pretended to be someone I am not. I’ve been bad in so many ways and made all the wrong decisions. One day you came along and from then…life began to take on a different meaning. I simply am – happy.

Whenever I express fear or disappointments you are always there to reassure that all of it will pass. You always find a way to let me know that I am strong when all else fails. We argue sometimes but we manage to end it in hugs and smiles.  You know all my quirks and somehow you find it normal. You remained a gentleman and always faithful to me. We share the love for adventures and cats and beach and books and couch and pizza and so many others yet we still learn new things about each other everyday.

I treasure every moments I spend with you.

The way you look into my eyes when you say “I love you”.

The simple gesture of kissing my hand while we’re walking.

When you let me finish what’s on your plate (because we know that you don’t eat that many).

When you wash the dishes cause you know I hate it.

When we pray at night before sleeping.

When you went down on one knee and popped the question.

I won’t say that you complete me rather know that as a person you are already great – a remarkable man that can take all the challenges this world has to offer. Then when we are together, that’s when we make each other the best version of ourselves.

So with all the years that passed and for many more years to come, know that I’ll keep you my Bes. You granted my wish on that night of the shooting star and you never, not once – faltered from it. I am forever grateful to God for giving me you.

In this irrational world there’s only one simple logic I am certain of. In every day, every minute, in any distance or wherever galaxy we maybe, I am irretrievably, unreasonably, unconditionally, in love with you.

Happy 5th Annivesary Bes. I love you.  🙂
